I Built This

Mr. President,

I built this while building a small business and raising a child on my own. And I did it while wearing 5-inch stilettos and looking fine!

A Special Place In Hell For Cowards And Apologists

There is absolutely nothing normal about sexual relations with a child.  It is, without a doubt, the most heinous crime a person can commit.  There is no amount of time that can erase the damage done to a child at the hands of a sick bastard.  So tell me how in the hell anyone in Hollywood can say that Roman Polanski has “paid his debt” by spending 35 years in Europe living the high life?

It is my opinion that Polanski has most certainly NOT “paid his debt”.  As a matter of fact, he has denied justice to the victim and, as a result, continues his rape of her.  But, of course, Hollywood doesn’t see it the same way I do.  Well not according to David Rooney of The Hollywood Reporter at least.   He and his liberal Hollywood buddies think the “surprisingly sympathetic” Polanski has “paid his debt”.  Below is an excerpt from Mr. Rooney's article on http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/review/roman-polanski-a-film-memoir-cannes-review-325694

I find it revolting that they would idolize a man that is to cowardly to face his accuser in a court of law and therefore deny her any chance of justice.  Just what is so “complex and charismatic, forthcoming and surprisingly sympathetic” about a coward?  Let me make myself clear…ANYONE who chooses a much smaller victim, drugs them so that they won’t fight back while being raped is a COWARD of the worst kind!  There is a special place in hell for people like Polanski and those “child rapist apologists” that seem to idolize him!

Polanski has been living a life of luxury in Europe for 35 years while his victim’s life was forever ruined.  She was denied closure of any kind and he moved on to marry and have two children.  I am just wondering if I should send oxygen to Rooney due to the lack of breathable air in his office.  Obviously, Mr. Rooney’s idea of normal behavior and acceptable punishment for such a crime is much different from me and my friends.

I do not find fault with those who choose to write or create a documentary about Polanski.  I find fault with those, like David Rooney, who seem to think the crime committed by the filmmaker is not really that big a deal.  I find fault with those who will sympathize with a man living the high life in Europe while his victim is denied her day in court to face her assailant.  I find fault with all those who think drugging, sodomizing and raping a child is somehow normal.

In closing, I’d like to say…Should I ever be granted the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Polanski OR David Rooney, please let it be when I have my two dogs near.  I’m thinking they’d really like a nice hot dog treat!
