I Built This

Mr. President,

I built this while building a small business and raising a child on my own. And I did it while wearing 5-inch stilettos and looking fine!

Obama's Delusions Of Grandeur

I am constantly amazed at the arrogance of the current administration.  If they aren’t ramming unwanted and unnecessary legislation down our throats, their bragging on how great they are.  You know, if you are actually doing something good you don’t have to tell people.  They can see it for themselves and will talk about it on your behalf.  Trying to convince us how great you are only makes you look foolish and a braggart.

Seth Mandel wrote an excellent piece on www.commentarymagazine.com about the narcissism of our current President (see bottom of post for link to article).  This has provided a source of entertainment for myself and my dogs.  I find it hilarious that he inserts himself into 13 bios of past President’s on the White House website.  Apparently he wanted to let us know what was coming up in his own bio later.

Here is my question.  Why did he feel the need to insert himself into these bios?  It isn’t as if he actually did anything during those administrations.  All he did was talk about how he has IMPROVED upon what they’ve already done.  His interpretation and my interpretation of improvement are obviously two different things.  I can only see him dragging Americans further and further down the road to socialism and cannot see how that is an improvement on our freedoms.  At any rate, Obama and his staff felt compelled to ‘re-write history’ on the White House website.  This is beyond arrogance.  This is a proclamation of, “You will worship me for the god that I am”.

Another question I have is…why did he not just go all the way back to George Washington?  Obama obviously feels the need to compare himself to other President’s by inserting himself into their bios…why not hit the first one while you’re at it?  Oh…never mind…I just figured it out for myself.  It’s because Washington was a GREAT leader and Obama can’t even be described as mediocre on his best days.  I wouldn’t want to draw that comparison, either.

I find it humorous that he compares himself to Reagan when it comes to promoting his “Buffett Rule”.  Let me explain why.  Not too long ago I witnessed a debate at a local restaurant and listened to the same argument from a liberal.  However, he couldn’t explain HOW Reagan’s saying a ‘fairer tax code is needed’ was the same as the Obama’s “Buffett Rule”.  How is asking one group of Americans to pay MORE than another group FAIR????

How is comparing yourself to Kennedy, who said “Ask not what your country can do for you…”, not hilarious from a man who encourages Americans to “Ask what your country can do for you”?  Seriously, Obama and his staff of fools have really gone over the top this time.  There are only a few past President’s I would compare Obama to and not one of them would be considered great in my opinion.

One last thing, you will have no need to insert yourself into someone’s history if you are building a great history of your own.  You won’t find it necessary to ‘toot your own horn’ if your actions and policies are actually good for the country.  Only someone with extremely low self esteem and a knowledge that he’s an idiot would try that.  Oh wait, that describes Obama!  What a narcissistic, self-important ASS he is!
