There is no “war on women” except from the left. This is apparent in the latest attempt by the
Obama team to prove they support “women’s issues”. Since when is college tuition, healthcare and
the national debt just “women’s issues”?
Thanks to the Obama campaign presenting their The Life of Julia on their
website, I feel I have no choice to but to point out once again that these are
NOT just women’s issues. These issues
are issues that everyone is concerned about.
Can you name one dad that isn’t concerned about the rise in
college tuition? I can’t! Every person I talk to, whether married or
single, is very concerned about the rising costs associated with sending their
child or children off to college. Let’s
face it. It is ridiculous for the Obama
campaign to assume this is a “women’s issue” only. And that is exactly what they implied with
their little slide show about #julia.
Healthcare is NOT, I repeat NOT, just a women’s issue. Men are just as concerned about their health
as we are. No one WANTS to die. It boggles my mind how the healthcare debate
has turned into a “women’s issue”. Give
me a break! Healthcare is not just about
reproductive issues, as Sandra Fluke would have us to believe, but about
maintaining a level of health that allows us to live our lives to the
fullest. I’ll wait for someone to
explain how only women are concerned about that.
I also can’t find a single person, male or female, who isn’t
concerned about the national debt and how we’re going to pay for all the social
programs that Obama wants to implement.
Somehow though, I’m supposed to believe that this is a “women’s issue”
only. Since when? Do men not apply for Social Security and
Medicare when they retire? Are men not
afraid that the hard earned money they’ve paid into Social Security and
Medicare won’t be there? I think they’re
just as concerned about it as women.
Julia is a manufactured idea of how grateful women should be
to the Obama administration and to liberals everywhere. Well guess what…women aren’t buying it. Julia has become fodder for conservatives
everywhere. It is sheer ridiculousness to
assume these generic situations would apply in the everyday world. Mr. and Ms. Liberal, nice try but no dice. You can take your composite character and put
her in the closet with your manufactured “war on women” where they both belong!
