I Built This

Mr. President,

I built this while building a small business and raising a child on my own. And I did it while wearing 5-inch stilettos and looking fine!

The Real War On Women

I’ve been watching and listening to all the pundits and I’ve decided that there is a definite ‘war on women’.  It’s a war being waged against conservative women and it’s being waged by liberals.  They want us to believe that they are more concerned about women’s issues than conservatives.  But what are the women’s issues?  Let’s examine a few issues that I would think would be women's issues.
As a woman and a mother, I am most concerned about the economy.  This is an American issue, not just a woman’s issue, though.  As Americans, we are all concerned about the national debt, the Senate’s failure to pass a budget and the overspending by our current POTUS.  However, the left would have us believe that conservative women don’t care about the economy.  I’m conservative and I care.  Most of my friends are conservative and they care.  Mr. and Ms. Liberal, how is the economy NOT a women’s issue?
Let’s look at national security.  I am extremely concerned as a woman about this particular issue.  After all, I have to wonder when the next terrorist may walk into my child’s school wearing a suicide vest.  I have to wonder, as a conservative woman, about our porous borders and all the illegal aliens coming into this country unannounced.  Between the drug cartels and islamist terrorists coming across our southern border, I’d say that national security is a definite high priority for women.
What about education?  Is that a woman’s issue?  As a mom, I would love to be able to stay home and educate my child myself.  Unfortunately, I don’t have that luxury and I can’t afford private school.  Therefore, I must send my child through the public education system.  This is a system that is lacking in so many ways it would take me far too long to name them all.  The most glaring, for me personally, is how true American history is no longer being taught and how it is no longer acceptable to be proud of our American heritage in schools.  Yes, I would say education is a definite women’s issue.
The left would like me to believe that women’s issues are merely birth control and equality.  I wonder why they want me to focus on those two issues most and overlook the three issues I’ve named here.  Oh wait…by keeping me focused on what I consider non-important issues, they are hoping I won’t notice the terrible job they are doing.  AND if I don’t notice what they’re doing, then maybe I’ll vote for them because they are looking out for me.  Well guess what…I’m not buying it.  Take your war on women somewhere else Mr. and Ms. Liberal and let’s get back to the real issues that are important in today’s America!
