I Built This

Mr. President,

I built this while building a small business and raising a child on my own. And I did it while wearing 5-inch stilettos and looking fine!

Hilary Rosen's Reality Check

Hilary Rosen has gone on national television to attack Ann Romney.  Unfortunately for her, she attacked an entire demographic by uttering a completely idiotic statement that “Ann Romney couldn’t know anything about the economy because she hasn’t worked a day in her life.”  And although Ann may not have ever held a job in corporate America, to say she couldn’t know anything about the economy is ludicrous.  It was also a direct slam against stay at home moms everywhere.  Please allow me to explain WHY I think this is an attack against stay at home moms.
One, feminist can’t understand why a woman would CHOOSE to stay at home to tend to a household and raise children.  Their “equality” issues demand that they hold a job outside the home.  That’s fine if that’s what they want to do.  However, there are many women that can and do stay home with their children.  Those women make a choice to leave the outside work force and from what I can tell from my own personal experience…they are happier for making that choice.
Two, these stay at home moms take a single paycheck and make it stretch.  They make the family budget fall within that single income.  This means that they watch gas prices, food prices, clothing prices, school supply prices, etc.  You really want to try and tell me that they know nothing about the economy now?  How many people are taking a single income and making it stretch to fit the needs of 3 or more people?  Not those feminist who think “It’s all about me!”
Last, just because a woman CHOOSES to stay at home with her children doesn’t mean she’s uneducated.  As a matter of fact, many stay at home moms are home schooling their children.  And if you’ve ever tried to teach anything, you know how difficult it is and you know that you have to understand what you’re teaching in the first place.  I’m wondering how many women working outside the home can remember their high school algebra!
My point is this.  It is absolutely idiotic for anyone to assume anything and that is exactly what liberals like Hilary Rosen are doing.  They assume that because someone doesn’t believe the way they do, that the person with the differing opinion must be stupid.  We are NOT!  The war on women is not coming from the right at all.  It’s coming from the left and their moronic statements like the one Hilary Rosen made on CNN last night.  My advice to liberals when it comes to women’s issues…….SHUT UP!  You obviously don’t have a clue and you most certainly do not speak for intelligent women everywhere or anywhere.
